To help manage this growth, we are looking for “Budget Officer” to start as soon as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Variance Analysis: Compile and analyze monthly budget verses actual for all departments. Provide commentary and engage key department stakeholders in the results.
• Forecasting: Support development of a yearly budget and re-forecasting.
• Sustainability Metrics: Develop sustainability metrics by department and work with department heads to track impact of changes.
• Documentation: Develop standard monthly reporting templates, create a table of key costs to be distributed monthly.
• Other: Work with the Finance Manager, department heads, and Finance team to accomplish Finance Team goals.

Requirements

• 1+ years finance experience or experience in another related field (required)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field (required)
• Excellent written and verbal communicator; attention to detail
• A strong sense of ethics, honesty and integrity
• Computer skills, most importantly experience in Microsoft Excel
• Quick learner and team player
• Sense of accountability and responsibility; committed to following up on projects and deliverables
• Ability to think strategically
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Language: Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English
• Passionate about serving smallholder farmers
