Woman for Women International (WfWI) Rwanda is seeking to fill the post of the Site and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor (SGMS) in our Women Opportunity Center (WOC) based in Kayonza District.

The Site and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor (SGMS) will work under the supervision of the Women Opportunity Center Coordinator and is responsible for performing a variety of routine, semi-skilled repairs and preventive maintenance, supervising and ensuring the quality of additional site construction, monitoring and ensuring the quality on any alteration and modification of existing Women Opportunity Center buildings, structures, equipment and utility installations S/he will provide general landscaping and ground keepings.

In the absence of the Women Opportunity Center Coordinator, the SGMS will also be responsible for receiving visitors and clients to the Center and serving as needed as Women Opportunity Center guide.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors and provides timely advice on ongoing constrictions at the WOC, ensure quality and standards are being maintained.
Perform menial maintenance, repair or construction tasks to WOC buildings, property or structures, including basic generator up-keep, maintain appropriate levels in water tanks, managing compositing structures, as well as ensuring cash power is maintained and the site maintenance as may be necessary.

Maintain WOC property and systems by investigating and resolving issues, inspecting vacant units, planning repairs and renovations; contracting with landscaping and trash removal services.

As may be needed, assist the WOC Coordinator in welcoming WOC visitors and clients, organizing a tour of the facility as necessary.
Coordinate regularly with WOC security personnel and enforcing security policies and procedures; responding appropriately to emergencies.
Ensure WOC grounds are well maintained in good appearance and immediately reports any faulty operations that require repair or servicing.
Monitor WOC water/electricity systems keeping them at peak efficiency and in good repair.
Clean up equipment and tools as appropriate and insure proper storage.
Ensue WOC site is up-to-date on current safety and fire regulations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum Technical High School diploma or equivalent, technical college graduate strongly preferred.
A 3-5 years construction and grounds maintenance experience is essential , additional experience within the hospitality industry or training centers would be advantageous
Manual dexterity and mobility required.
Must be able to pay attention to details and ensure high quality construction and maintenance standards.
Must be a good communicator, be able to clearly report back to supervisors; English, French and Kinyarwanda language skills are essential.
Must have good computer processing skills (word and Excel)
