CIMERWA Ltd is Rwanda’s largest cement manufacturer with a capacity of 100,000 tons of cement per year. PPC Ltd from South Africa has recently acquired a 51% shareholding in CIMERWA Ltd. The company operates a wet process technology plant in Muganza Sector, Rusizi District in Western Province.

As part of its expansion plans the company is investing in a latest technology integrated plant with an installed capacity of 600,000 tons per annum. This additional capacity will cater for the country’s growing demand for cement, and that of the region.
The following job opportunity is currently available at CIMERWA Ltd.

1. Sales and Marketing Manager

Reporting to: Chief Executive Office of CIMERWA

Employment terms: One year renewable

Qualification and Experience

Recognised degree in Marketing or any other related fields
Drivers license (Class 8) will be advantageous
8 Years relevant experience of marketing and distribution in manufacturing or construction industry
At least 5 years experience in customers relationship management
Understanding and knowledge of the Cement markets nationally and regionally would be advantageous.
Other requirements:

Strong commercial awareness and strong client liaison skills
Extensive understanding of the manufacturing industry
Flexibility and a talent for negotiation and connection
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent planning and management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to consistently perform under pressure
Passion for excellence in his/her work
Must have experience of sales, marketing, branding and distribution on the East African region;
Ability to effectively liaise and build relationships with various stakeholders; ‘
Excellent leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure;
Good information, technology, communication and reporting skills;
English and French Proficiency (Read; Write; Speak);
Kinyarwanda and Swahili would be advantageous
