Fighting for freedom is not a war crime, especially when more than half of your land has been taken by foreigners. Palestinians have no military bases, and no real military support from any world power. They have to fire from civilian areas and with the bombs they have, they fire at civilian or military targets as they can. Expecting people in the situation the Palestinians are in to abide by first world niceties is an absurdity. The US of A would still be a British colony if it had obeyed the British rules of war and fought England the way England expected. We won two standoffs against them by fighting an asymmetrical war and its the only way the Palestinians have any hope of turning back Israeli occupation and humiliation of their land and their people. Civilian casualties are an unfortunate fact of life when you steal someone elses land to bring your delusion to life.
@ Islamist, Free Gaza: Let me just remind you that it is the Arabs and not Israelis/Jews who refused the United Nation’s partition of the then Palestine into two countries, one for the Jews, another for the Arabs. Arabs wanted to kick the Jews out and seize the whole of Palestine. As expected, the war broke out and the Arabs’ defeat resulted into the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. Who is to blame ? Gaza and the West Bank were seized in 1968 when all Arab nations had vowed to destroy Israel. They lost gain. Who is to blame for this ? Regarding the current conflict, It is the Hamas who started it with filing missiles into Israel. Even Israel offered a cease fire and Hamas refused. And true fighters do not use civilians they are supposed to protect as human shields. When they fire at Israel form a hospital or a school, when they hide rockets into UN premises where their own civilians have found refuge, what do they expect ? That Israel will just sit back and not protect its citizens and fire back ? And after that they cry out and accuse Israel of all kind of crimes. Really ? Let them feel the heat.
