MTN Rwanda seeks to recruit a highly competent and self-motivating individual to join its Finance Department at the position of Bank and Cash Reconciliation Accountant, reporting to Senior Accountant.

Core job responsibilities:
- To follow up with the sales counter consultants/ cashiers and ensure that the daily cash takings have been properly reconciled and that the proceeds are intact and have been banked promptly
- To verify daily prepaid sales batches, ensure accuracy thereof and post them to the ledgers
- To reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis for the respective bank accounts assigned
- To prepare timely bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis
- To ensure prompt clearance of the reconciling items
- Posting batches of contract clients, PAYGO and dealer receipts
- Capture and post BlackBerry payments Reconciliation of monthly stock movement against cash collections
- Reconciliation of cash collections against monthly debtor movement
- Cash treasury i.e. monitoring bank balances and dealer banking
- Close the cash management sub module within set deadlines
- Provide relevant departments and staff a schedule of bank reconciling items weekly
- Provide a schedule of all unposted cash batches on a daily basis
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce majoring in Accounting, Statistics and related areas
- Pursuing a professional accounting course (ACCA, CPA etc.)
- A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in accounting
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is an added advantage
- Computer skills
- Competence in using accounting software (Serge, CS3 system etc.)
- Financial accounting skills
- Advanced book keeping skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
