JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Nyamasheke District has received funds from FONERWA to support one of EDPRS2 priorities : “Pursue a green economy approach under economic transformation thematic area”. The support to Nyamasheke District therefore seeks to ensure that its economic development is environmentally sustainable and climate resilient.

This can be achieved through implementation of cross sectorial Green growth and climate resilience strategy(GGCRS). The vision for FONERWA is to respond to Rwanda’s current and future financing needs for environment, climate change, and green growth in order to accelerate goals of national sustainable economic development.

It is against this background Nyamasheke District requires services for Project team to implement Integrated Project of Ecosystem Rehabilitation and Green Village Promotion.

1.Project Coordinator(1)

REQUIREMENTS

Masters in, Environnemental Sciences , Natural Sciences, Project Management , Biology with at least 1 years working experience or Bachelor’s degree in Environnemental Sciences , Natural Sciences, Project Management , Biology , with 3 years working experience in environment management field.

Key Technical skills& Knowledge required :

– Knowledge on management of environnemental issues ;
– Leadership and management skills ;
– Planning and organizational,
– Budget skills ;
– Communication skills ;
– Time management skills ;
– Interviewing skills ;
– Judgment & Decision making skills ;
– Complex problem solving ;
– Objective oriented
– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French ; knowledge of all is an advantage

2.Field technician(1)

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture sciences , Soil and Water Management ,Natural Sciences ,Biology, Veternary, Animal production with at least 3 working experience in environment related field.

– Deep understanding and knowledge of Rwandan and regional context for agriculture development ;
– Computer skills ;
– Organizational skills ;
– Communication skills ;
– High analytical skills ;
– Complex problem solving ;
– Time management skills ;
– Team working skills ;’
– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French ; knowledge of all is an advantage.

3.Monitoring and Evaluation Officer(1)

REQUIREMENTS

– Ao in Management, Economics, Development Studies, project Management, Business, Agronomy with at least 3 years working experience.

Technical Skills & Knowledte required :

– Knowledge of results based management, logical framework approach, strategic planning process and tools ;
– Knowledge of Rwanda’s Public service and Labour Sector policies and Strategies ;
– Knowledge of drafting Action plans and Operational plans ;
– Knowledge to conduct policy and analysis and draft proposals ;
– Knowled of Monitoring and Evaluation concepts, systems and tools ;
– Computer Skills ;
– Organizational Skills ;
– Communication Skills
– High analytical & Complex problem Solving Skills ;
– Judgment & Decission Making Skills ;
– Time management Skills ;
– Team working Skills ;
– fluent in Kinyawanda, English and/ or French ; knowledge of all is an advantage
