IPRC – Kigali is looking for competent and qualified candidates for the following posts indicated in the table below:

1. Tutorial assistant in Entrepreneurship (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
Implement designated curriculum
Maintains confidentiality of students and students records
Conduct assigned classes at the times scheduled
Assigns reasonable tasks and homework to students
To be able to teach in all levels of TVET
Qualification
Bachelors degree in Education, Economics or Entrepreneurship
4 year teaching experience in higher Institution of learning.
2. Instructor in Biomedical Equipments Maintenance and Management (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
Implement designated curriculum
Maintains confidentiality of students and student’s records.
Conduct assigned classes at the times scheduled
Assigns reasonable tasks and homework to students.
To be able to teach biomedical Equipments maintenance.
Qualifications

He / she should posses a background of technical skills ie A2 certificate from a technical secondary school and A1 or Diploma in Biomedical Equipment technology in a TVET Institution.

Experience

a. At least 3 years as a medical technician.
b. Experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and management
c. Deep Knowledge of MEMMS
d. Teaching Experience is an added advantage.

3. Lab Technician in Physics (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
Implement designated curriculum.
Maintains confidentiality of students and students records
Conduct assigned classes at the times scheduled.
Assigns reasonable tasks and homework to students.
To be able to teach Physics in A’ Level Technical Secondary School.
Qualifications

A0 or A1 in Physics
2 years in teaching experience

4. Instructor in Machine Tools (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
Implement designated curriculum.
Teaching Assigned Classes
To prepare practical manual detailing the exercises, objectives, equipments and tools required and procedures to be followed by students.
Engaging in college activities contributing to IPRC Kigali development.
Perform simple maintenance of machines and students control to ensure proper use of workshop equipments
Prepare a list of workshop equipments that include technical specifications and quantities that will allow efficient skills development to students.
Plan the workshop in order to have demonstration areas, well spaced students working areas natural flow of practical process, machines and equipments are installed to provide maximum safety to students.
To undertake such administrative responsibilities within department as may be required of them from time to time.
Curry out other duties as assigned by the institute including consultancy
Qualifications

A0 or A1 in mechanical engineering and 2 years in teaching experience.

5. Expert in programming (1 year Contract Renewable) and International staff are allowed to apply. (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with design, analysis, maintenance, documentation, and testing of IPRC Kigali software.
Code, debug, test, and document routine application IPRC Kigali software.
Install and test routine software packages.
Assist users with procedural or minor technical problems.
Advise or train users regarding the technical aspects and use of standard Software packages.
Design and develop new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
Determine source data (input), processing requirements (output), output
Formats, timing and cost estimates.
Verify that system meets performance criteria.
Improve IPRC Kigali Systems,
Design, implement, and document procedures.
Design/modify, code, debug, test, and document moderately complex
Application systems.
Install and test moderately complex software packages.
Develop and/or teach seminars, workshops, or classes to users or other
Programmer/Analysts on the technical aspects or use of computer hardware,
Software packages or application systems.
Consult on the use of moderately complex software packages.
Advise users regarding program techniques and design.
Maintain program libraries, users’ manuals, or technical documentation.
Participation through all aspects of the software development life cycle
Design, development, review, and implementation of new applications
Maintain, update, develop IPRC Kigali website
Perform regularly backups/and restore
Correct errors of IPRC Kigali applications by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs according to users’ requirements.
Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users
Qualifications
Having High experiences and knowledge in:
PHP programming
Ajax
HTML and XHTML
SSC
Java
Java script.
Open source DBMS (My SQL and Postgraduate SQL)
Open source operating system (Linux).
Having at least a Bsc in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
At least three years experiences in programming.
Professional certificates in programming will be added advantages.
6. Administrative Assistant to the vice Principal of administration and finance (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:
Prepares responses to IPRC Kigali staff and other stake holders to claims addressed to the vice Principal of administration and finance.
Proof reads and corrects errors for all outgoing letters to be to be signed by the vice Principal of administration and finance.
To assist in arranging travel where necessary.
Ensures IPRC Kigali staff and stakeholders receives management information and respond in time to avoid delays in the system.
Compiling all types of reports for the department and ensures that are dispatched to the concerned services within and outside the institution.
Prepares agenda record minutes scheduled within the department.
Keep track of tenders in progress.
Makes all necessary arrangements to prepare the meetings scheduled within the department.
Help the vice principal in making research and collecting data in order to draft administrative documents.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Keep records of photocopies made in Finance and administration department.
To receive all visitor and incoming documents in the vice principals office.
To ensure the prompt dispatch of all out going documents
To maintain a well organized filling and recording system.
To undertake all typing required to be done in the office of vice principal.
Qualifications:
A0 in Social science, public Administration or A1 diploma in secretarial studies
Three years working experience
Ms Office and typing speed of at least 80 words per minute.
Good report writing abilities
Communication and customer care skills will be an added advantage.
